The BD Insulin Syringe Assist Program
BD Medical – Diabetes Care offers a patient assistance program for people who use BD Ultra-Fine™ Insulin Syringes. You may qualify if you cannot pay for insulin syringes because your income is low and you do not have health insurance. You must meet financial and other program-specific criteria to be eligible for assistance. People who receive Medicare or Medicaid benefits do not qualify for this program. If you qualify, you can receive BD Ultra-Fine™ Insulin Syringes for a small co-pay.

Lower Extremity Amputation Prevention (LEAP)
Lower Extremity Amputation Prevention (LEAP) is a comprehensive program that can dramatically reduce lower extremity amputations in individuals with diabetes mellitus, Hansen's disease, or any condition that results in loss of protective sensation in the feet. LEAP’s program includes annual foot screenings, education, self-inspections, footwear selections, and foot care management.

HealthLink's Diabetes Monitoring Program
HealthLink's Diabetes Monitoring Program was started in response to an overwhelming community need, the ability to control and monitor blood glucose levels in our diabetic population. The Diabetes Monitoring Programs accepts eligible patients into their program and provides, at no cost, a blood glucose machine, test strips and other supplies. Children and adults with diabetes receive free access to diabetic supplies and medications needed to manage their disease, remain in school and working and prevent secondary conditions. Can Do Canines provide service animals to individuals with Type I Diabetes. Diabetes Assist Dogs are trained to monitor smells in the air for a specific scent on the human breath that is related to rapidly dropping or low blood sugar levels.
