Medicines enable patients to live longer, healthier lives. The Partnership for Prescription Assistance® (PPA), a nationwide effort sponsored by America’s biopharmaceutical research companies, has helped nearly 10 million uninsured and underinsured Americans get information about programs that provide prescription medicines for free or nearly free. PPA provides a single point of access to more than 475 patient assistance programs, including nearly 200 offered by biopharmaceutical companies.

More than 30 million Americans were living without health insurance in 2014. PPA is helping many of them get the medications they need for free or nearly free through the patient assistance programs that are right for them.

These figures reflect the number of residents helped in each U.S. state from April 2005 through April 2016.
